Notice to Proceed on First Avenue Linear Park

With a stroke of a pen, King of Prussia District issued a letter to Marino Corporation giving notice to proceed with construction on Phase One of the First Avenue Linear Park. Through the course of the next 10 months, a vibrant, multi-use pathway will take shape beginning at Moore Road and extending east on either side of First Avenue. A public pre-construction meeting with property owners and businesses along the new multimodal trail is scheduled for October 23, 2019 at 1 PM at 1075 First Avenue.

Vibrant landscaping, accessible pathways, and seating areas will adorn the hardscape features along the roadway that invite those passing by to stop and relax or eat their lunch in a comfortable outdoor setting, ideal for both employees and residents. Solar-powered pedestrian lighting and trash receptacles will be included to provide a clean and safe environment for visitors, year around.

Phase One of the Linear Park is managed by King of Prussia District and funded through PennDOT’s Multimodal Transportation Fund and the US Department of Transportation’s Transportation Infrastructure Investment Fund. Additional funding is provided by King of Prussia District and Montgomery County’s Montco 2040 Implementation grant program.
