RFP Now Open for Renaissance Park Pedestrian Improvements
Entrances into Renaissance Park received new signage last week, creating a modern new look for the park and a significantly improved first impression for visitors, employees and commuters alike.
In addition to the new signs and a pedestrian gateway between Crooked Lane and Renaissance Boulevard, these improvements represent the transformation from traditional business park into a mixed-use area with manufacturing, office, lab, engineering, design, restaurant, medical, daycare and (soon) residential spaces. However, pedestrian infrastructure in Renaissance Park remains spotty, which limits access, uses and customers.
To promote the pedestrian evolution, King of Prussia District is issuing a request for proposals from landscape architecture, planning and engineering firms to create a connectivity study for Renaissance Park. The proposed study will engage property owners, businesses and stakeholders to outline pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure improvements. Proposals to conduct the study will be evaluated based on qualifications of service providers, experience with similar studies and price of itemized services. This project stems from a 2020 Renaissance Park Stakeholder Engagement Study by King of Prussia District which identified pedestrian access and wayfinding signage as important issues to address.
