Nashville-based restaurant chain J. Alexander has picked a site by the King of Prussia Mall for its first location in the northeastern United States.
J. Alexander Holdings Inc. said in a statement on Monday that it plans to begin work this summer on its 9,800-square-foot free-standing restaurant building at 265 Mall Blvd., across the street from the mall.
The restaurant, with seating for about 220, is scheduled to open in 2018 and will employ about 100 full- and part-time workers, the company said.
J. Alexander describes itself as an upscale restaurant, specializing in steak and seafood dishes. The King of Prussia location will also feature sushi and a full-service bar, it said.
J. Alexander Holdings, which also owns the Redlands Grill, Lyndhurst Grill and Stoney River Steakhouse & Grill chains, currently operates 44 restaurants in 15 states, mostly in the South and Midwest.
