Pedestrian Gateway Coming to Renaissance Park

In 2020, King of Prussia of District’s Renaissance Park Stakeholder Engagement Study highlighted the need to improve the pedestrian connection between the business park and SEPTA’s Hughes Park Station. The stakeholder input from this study reinforces the 2018 Safe Routes To Transit report by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) that recommends several access improvements to the Hughes Park Station, including a pedestrian crossing at Crooked Lane and trail enhancements between the state road and Renaissance Boulevard.

To advance this important pedestrian upgrade, King of Prussia District engaged Stuart & Associates, a King of Prussia landscape architecture, planning and design firm. The team is currently preparing drawings for this prominent gateway into Renaissance Park that include new hardscape, seating, planting beds and pedestrian lighting improvements. These enhancements will improve accessibility and safety for residents, employees and visitors who are traveling between Hughes Park Station, Renaissance Park and the surrounding neighborhood, and will allow for further renovations of this transportation corridor in the future.
