Win Big by Shopping Small
Patronizing small businesses is a win for everyone-the shopper, the store owner and the local community! For every $1 spent at a small, local business in Upper Merion, an average of $0.67 stays right here.
Upper Merion Township’s Economic & Community Development Committee (ECDC), in partnership with King of Prussia District, launched their first ever Holiday Passport Program on Small Business Saturday (November 30th) as a way to encourage and incentivize shoppers to check out small and local businesses right here in the township. Upper Merion is home to some of the best shopping in the world, which includes many great small businesses.
There are over 20 prizes available, including a grand prize of $250 in gift cards to the participating small businesses of the winner’s choice. Join the fun by shopping small and maybe you can earn yourself a holiday gift as well!
To participate in the Holiday Passport Program:
1) Print your Holiday Passport here, or pick one up at any participating retailer
2) Start shopping at any of the 25 participating small and local businesses
3) Keep your Holiday Passport on hand throughout December, and get it “stamped” at each participating business you make a purchase
4) Submit your completed Passport to UM.ECDC@Gmail.com (just take a picture of your passport with your phone!) or at the Township Building to be entered into the drawing for 20+ prizes including a grand prize of $250 in gift cards!
The program runs from November 30th through December 30th. Happy (small and local) shopping!
