Now Open: Mango

Did you know that the word “mango” sounds the same in most languages? That was the reason behind Isak Andic, the brand’s founder with international aspirations, choosing the name of this sweet and juicy fruit for an apparel brand that celebrates quality and originality.

The flagship store under this name opened in Barcelona, Spain in 1984. A year later, the brand expanded to five stores in Barcelona and one in Valencia, with one hundred stores throughout Spain by 1992. Today, Mango stores have made their mark on all five continents.

The product has always been the heart of Mango, beginning with women’s apparel and a Mediterranean style with everything from hand embroidered prints, as well as leather jackets and jeans and evolving over the years with fashion trends. Now, Mango has expanded to produce menswear, as well as children’s apparel and even home goods.
