Now Open: Pop Mart
Good things come in blind boxes.
Pop Mart is now open at King of Prussia Mall, bringing its blind-box collectibles and viral Labubu figures closer to shoppers and collectors. The Beijing-based company started in 2010 as a single toy shop opened by then-23-year-old Wang Ning, with no funding and no industry connections behind him. It’s since grown into a global “designer toy” brand with more than 500 stores across 30-plus countries, and went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2020.
Fittingly, the mall already had a taste of Pop Mart before the store existed. For months, shoppers could only get their hands on the brand’s toys through roboshops, vending-machine-style kiosks scattered around the mall. This location marks the company’s first real storefront here, complete with the interactive displays and rotating blind-box drops that have made lines form outside its stores nationwide.
Inside, shoppers will find the full lineup of collectible figures and plush characters, including the Labubu line that’s turned into something of a cultural moment, spotted on celebrities and sold out within minutes of restocking.
Pop Mart is located on the mall’s mid-level, near Nordstrom, between Cole Haan and Venchi. Just don’t expect to know what you got until you open it.
