Honey Harvest Marks the End of Bee Season
King of Prussia District has officially wrapped up our first year working with the commercial beekeeping group, Alveole, by distributing the fruits of our honeybees’ labor.
Moore Park’s Pop-up Café, featuring Blue Wren Coffee House, setup shop on December 1 and 8 along the First Avenue Linear Park. The first 100 attendees received free coffee drinks and pastries on us! In addition, we handed out 150 sample jars of honey harvested from the King of Prussia District Beehive.
The beehive was an exciting new feature in Moore Park this year. We hosted two free workshops and also enjoyed regular beekeeping visits where the community learned the importance of honey bees and how to care for them. From May through December, the beehive was very active, reaching up to 50,000 inhabitants at the height of the season. This feature was installed as part of King of Prussia District’s return-to-office strategy with participating property owners along First Avenue Linear Park.
We look forward to two business park beehives next season – one again in Moore Park and one in Renaissance Park.
