Improved Pedestrian Gateway Coming Soon to Renaissance Park

In 2020, King of Prussia of District’s Renaissance Park Stakeholder Engagement Study highlighted the need to improve the pedestrian connection between the business park and SEPTA’s Hughes Park Station.

The stakeholder input reinforced the 2018 Safe Routes to Transit report by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, which recommended several access improvements to the Hughes Park Station, including a pedestrian crossing at Crooked Lane and enhancements to the trail between the state road and Renaissance Boulevard.

To advance this important pedestrian upgrade, King of Prussia District hired Stuart & Associates, a KOP landscape architecture firm, to create a prominent gateway into Renaissance Park that include new hardscaping, seating, planting beds and lighting upgrades.  2901 Renaissance LLC, the property owner, is donating the public access easement, with maintenance provided by P&F Ventures, LLC. The project goes out to bid this week with construction beginning this fall. A new monument sign, designed by Renaissance Park’s own D2 Groups, will give the gateway improvement a distinct identity that will correlate with signage throughout Renaissance Park. These enhancements will improve accessibility and safety for residents, employees, and visitors-alike, traveling between Hughes Park Station, Renaissance Park and the surrounding neighborhood.
