Thanks to good quarterly results and an increase in both online and street sales, Duluth Trading is opening more stores nationwide, with King of Prussia one of the new locations, writes Rick Romell for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Duluth Trading specializes in selling casual clothing and work wear, primarily from its catalog and website, but also through its growing network of brick-and-mortar stores.
The firm is famous for embracing the mischievous marketing of products such as “Buck Naked Underwear” or “Ballroom Jeans,” which, according to the company, promise “room to crouch without singing soprano.”
The most recent quarter saw 88 percent of the company’s sales come from its catalog and online channels. However, Duluth’s stores have also increased its revenue by more than 50 percent, thanks to the opening of two new stores and the organic growth of existing outlets.
Duluth currently operates nine stores and is planning to open more this year. It has already signed the lease for the planned King of Prussia location.
