The King of Prussia Mall opened to throngs of shoppers as the Philadelphia suburbs moved into the green stage.
The country’s largest mall by square feet of retail space saw steady crowds when its doors opened Friday and then throughout the entire weekend. There were long, winding lines at luxury boutique stores such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton as shoppers waited patiently to get inside to finally purchase a pair of shoes, bag or belt to release that pent-up instant gratification that had been delayed since nonessential retail centers were temporarily closed in mid-March to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
