2025 Year-End Highlights: A Year of Growth, Connection and Momentum in King of Prussia
As 2025 comes to a close, we are proud to reflect on another successful year marked by major investments, strengthened partnerships and deeper community engagement.
Across each of our five programs, we advanced projects that improved mobility and enhanced public spaces, delivered valuable data and insights to stakeholders and created new ways for people to experience and enjoy KOP. Here’s a look back at the progress that shaped this year.
Administration
Expanding capacity and driving new initiatives
- New Team Member: We welcomed Kaitlyn Dibble as Public Landscapes Manager, who is now leading physical improvement and transportation projects from design through construction and overseeing maintenance of public enhancements.
- Community Engagement Action Plan: In July, we released a strategic engagement roadmap, shaped by community input, to increase visibility, deepen partnerships and amplify the vibrancy of King of Prussia. The plan stems from a year-long community outreach project and outlines four primary goals and the steps to address them.
- Valley Forge Trail Partnership: In November, we were awarded a grant from the William Penn Foundation to advance planning, education and funding strategies for the 2.8-mile Gulph Road Connector. This funding will allow us to lead a three-year compressive public engagement and marketing campaign.

Land Use & Zoning
Planning for smart growth
- Fiscal Impact Study: We partnered with Upper Merion Township to complete a study to assess the fiscal impacts of development on township revenues and expenses. Through our Land Use and Zoning program, we contributed funding to support the township in hiring Urban3, a third-party consultant for this analysis.
- Property Owner Support: We assisted property owners with land use and zoning challenges, including issues related to a variety of general development challenges and continued to provide project-specific advocacy to township officials to help move projects forward.
- Comprehensive Plan: We continued to collaborate closely with Upper Merion Township during the township-wide Comprehensive Plan discussions, focusing our advocacy on housing, commercial development, mixed-use development and parks/trails.
- Business Recruitment: We continue to proactively approach the types of development and industries Upper Merion Township has prioritized. Notable examples include outreach to medical and sports facilities, where significant progress is being made. This is coupled with a continued business recruitment campaign through the Marketing department.

Transportation
Improving mobility and connectivity
- Moore Road Multimodal Trail: With Upper Merion Township (UMT), we awarded TPD, Inc. a contract to develop construction drawings for the Moore Road Multimodal Trail, which will consist of a multimodal trail, solar powered pedestrian lighting, ADA curb ramps and amenities along both sides of Moore Road from First Avenue to the Schuylkill River Trail West. This phase is fully funded by grants.
- Renaissance Park Improvements: With UMT, we awarded Boles Smyth Associates a contract to develop and engineer roadway and pedestrian improvements on Renaissance Boulevard and Horizon Drive, including strategically placed turn lanes, dedicated bicycle lanes and pedestrian-friendly walkways.

Physical Improvements
Investing in public spaces and amenities
- Recharge Park: Construction began mid-October on this 1.8-acre public space which will include seating areas, a rain garden, landscaped planting beds, a variety of interactive furnishings, solar powered works stations and solar powered pedestrian lighting. The vibrant new recreational destination is set to open by summer 2026.
- Moore Park Gateway Signs: Informed by a branding and wayfinding study conducted in 2024, we hired D2 to create exterior sign design guidelines and development plan for Moore Park right-of-way and common areas. The first component of this plan is three gateway signs which will be installed at the major roadway entrances to Moore Park by the end of December 2025.
- Clean Streets Litter Program: In May, we launched a year-round initiative to keep KOP’s busiest corridors looking their best. Since then, our contractor, Zizza Highway Services, has removed 3.5 tons of trash from six roads and interchanges throughout UMT! We are performing this work through an agreement with PennDOT.
- Decorations & Amenities: Enhancements continued with new landscape beds, trees, a Little Library on the Linear Park and decorative snowflakes on KOP gateway signs.
