Valley Forge National Historical Park: Spring 2026
Spring has arrived, and there is no better time to step outside and explore one of the region’s most treasured destinations — Valley Forge National Historical Park.
This 3,500-acre park is a true oasis right in our back yards, with sweeping meadows, wooded trails and iconic monuments.
In 2025, Valley Forge National Historical Park recorded 2.3M visits and 777K unique visitors, reflecting continued strong demand. Spring remains one of the park’s most popular seasons, with the Joseph Plumb Martin Trail and Mount Misery among the most frequently used routes, drawing both residents and long-distance visitors throughout the year.
This level of visitation translates into significant economic activity for the region. In 2024, visitor spending at the park generated $44.8M in total economic output. Secondary effects, the broader ripple impact across local businesses, represented the largest share at $20.8 M, followed by restaurants at $12.8M. Lodging contributed $3.6M, with recreation industries, retail and transportation adding a combined $6.6M.
A new visitor amenity is also planned for the park. ANEU Cafe is preparing to open this year at the historic Maurice Stephens House at 10 Barry Road, King of Prussia. The cafe will offer prepared breakfast items, sandwiches and beverages. An events venue is also planned for the site, which will also serve as the headquarters for Valley Forge Park Alliance.
Whether serving as an exceptional destination for visitors or offering a refreshing escape from the everyday routine for residents, Valley Forge National Historical Park continues to drive economic activity and quality of life in Upper Merion Township.
