- Upper Merion Township & partners secured $1.8M in grants for trail projects!
UMT, in partnership with Upper Merion Transportation Authority, was awarded a $1M grant from the Eastern Federal Lands Access Program (EFLAP) through the Federal Highway Administration to build the Valley Forge Gateway Trail between Richards Road and First Avenue. This application was sponsored by the National Park Service to benefit the Valley Forge National Historical Park. In addition, UMT and King of Prussia District were awarded an $800,000 grant through the CFA Multimodal Transportation Fund to construct the Moore Road Multimodal Trail. This brings the total money raised for Moore Road Trail construction to $900,000 for the projected $8M project. - The District released its 2026 Community Engagement Action Plan.
Building on our 2025 Action Plan, the new plan centers on four primary goals including enhancing visibility of our programs; deepening engagement with partners; enhancing our events and supporting community events; and leveraging data to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact. King of Prussia District is managing the partnership through a three-year grant from the William Penn Foundation to build regional support for the Valley Forge Gateway Trail. Read more from Main Line Today here. - The District released its 2026 Report to the Community.

Explore it here. - Recharge Park is on track for late spring completion. From the social circle pavers to unique swings manufactured using recycled turbines, the District’s park at 680 Freedom Business Center Drive in Moore Park (between Topgolf and Valley Forge Casino Resort) is progressing nicely! Designed by King of Prussia–based landscape architects, Stuart & Associates, the park’s theme of “recharging” pays tribute to the site’s former substation and offers a place for employees, residents and visitors to relax, connect and enjoy the outdoors
