King of Prussia, PA (March 24, 2026) –This April, King of Prussia District is expanding its longtime CHOP fundraiser into KOP Cares Month, a monthlong community-wide campaign uniting retailers, restaurants, services, attractions and companies to support Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) King of Prussia Campus. Originally launched in 2015 as a restaurant week, the initiative has grown into a broader partnership with KOP businesses of all kinds that has raised nearly $500,000 for CHOP’s lifesaving treatment and game-changing research.

Throughout April, KOP businesses will host fundraising initiatives, from donation days and featured menus to special events and product promotions benefiting CHOP. Many businesses will also offer the option to round up at checkout or donate directly to CHOP in-store, and some have pledged a flat donation through the Community Champions program. Additional fundraising activities include:

  • CHOP Kid Creations: Spread Bagelry, Cork and Candles, Conshohocken Brewing Company’s KOP Taproom and Cluster’s Handcrafted Popcorn have partnered with a CHOP Patient Ambassador to create custom products available exclusively during KOP Cares Month.
  • KOP Cares Month Raffle April 13-27: King of Prussia District will host a fundraiser featuring prize packs of restaurant and retailer gift cards on the KOP Cares Month Facebook page. For a donation of $10, donors receive 1 virtual entry; 3 entries for $20; and 10 entries for $50. In 2025, these raffles raised nearly $4,000 for CHOP KOP.
  • Upper Merion Area School District Pajama Day April 16: Students and staff across all buildings will be encouraged to wear pajamas and, if possible, donate to CHOP. In 2025, Pajama Day raised $3,581.
  • Block Party for CHOP: Sat., May 2, 1-4 PM (May 3 rain date): King of Prussia District closes out the campaign with a family-friendly block party in King of Prussia Town Center. Main Street will close to make way for entertainment, carnival games, fire trucks, face painting, raffles, balloon art and more. The 2025 Block Party welcomed a crowd of over 1,800 people and raised more than $4,000.

“For more than a decade, King of Prussia Restaurant Week has helped our community support the incredible work at CHOP King of Prussia,” said Eric Goldstein, President & CEO of King of Prussia District. “Expanding this effort into KOP Cares Month allows even more businesses to get involved and gives people additional ways to support CHOP while enjoying everything King of Prussia has to offer.”

KOP Cares Month is produced by King of Prussia District and presented by SERVPRO of King of Prussia. Additional support provided by Gold Sponsors AgileCat, AVE King of Prussia, IBEW 98/NECA, Valley Forge Casino Resort, Valley Forge & Montgomery County PA and WSFS Bank; In-Kind Sponsor King of Prussia Town Center/CBRE; and Print Sponsor Conlin’s Print.
