Can you give us a little background into Eigen X and how it came to be?

We started Eigen X exactly 10 years ago.  We really didn’t see the consulting environment out in the market that we were seeking and so we decided to build the kind of company at which we wanted to work.  To highlight our success, we’ve been voted “Best Place to Work” by the Philadelphia Business Journal for 9 years now!  It is common in this resource constrained market in consulting and technology, for firms to experience a 30 percent or more turnover rate year-over-year, and we have kept our turnover below four percent, which is something we’re very proud of.  That’s really been the key to our growth, keeping great talent happy, rewarded, and challenged.  In fact, we were again named on the Inc. 5000 list for 2022.  We were also included on Inc.’s Best Workplaces in 2021 and 2022.

What motivated you to establish the Eigen X HQ in King of Prussia? How has operating in KOP contributed to the company’s success?

We outgrew our prior space — we were at around 5,000 sq. ft. and now we’ve got just over 15,000 sq. ft. Our current HQ is located right outside the Town Center — our employees can literally walk there. There are so many gems and amenities for our employees, both for living and working. For those who don’t live here, commuting into KOP couldn’t be easier. Its central location is something that really drew us to KOP.  We primarily moved here for the amenities, but its accessibility is really what set the area apart for Eigen X.

What else makes KOP a good fit for your employees and company culture?

Obviously maintaining a great culture is very important to us.  We also wanted to be located in a technology center to have the energy of business start-ups and rapidly growing companies.  Again, one of our primary goals was to work in a location that’s easily commutable from all directions. There’s an after-work culture here as well for our employees who want to pop over to the Town Center and enjoy everything there is to do. The people here and the all-around energy is fantastic. KOP is just so vibrant right now.

What are some of your favorite things to do in KOP?

Honestly, you can frequently find me at Mission BBQ.  Davio’s across the street has a great Happy Hour and we are regulars at The Capital Grille (especially for Generous Pour).  We’ve taken the team out to Bury the Hatchet, too — that place is so fun. We really try and take advantage of everything there is to do — it’s why we’re here after all!  I have to mention, our team is very excited for Topgolf!

The floor is yours. Tell us anything you’d like to share about yourself or Eigen X.

Our marketplace is heavily life sciences and Higher Education so being here in KOP makes perfect sense. A large concentration of US Pharma and Life Sciences companies have operations along Rt 202, which puts us in a great location to serve those clients.
