Transformation Ahead: Renaissance Park Set to Enhance Connectivity & Community Experience

In 2024, King of Prussia District introduced the visionary Renaissance Park Connectivity Master Plan, crafted by Simone Collins Landscape Architecture and Traffic Planning and Design. This ambitious plan promises to seamlessly connect commercial centers with residential neighborhoods through enhanced pedestrian, bicycle and roadway networks. New bike lanes, sidewalks, a roundabout and multimodal trails are some of the recommended transportation improvements in the plan. Additionally, the plan calls for amenities such as small parklets, programming and special events, as well as outdoor art.
Now, taking a significant step forward, King of Prussia District is thrilled to announce the selection of Boles Smyth Associates for the Renaissance Park Roadway, Trail Design & Traffic Study. Boles Smyth is charged with taking the planning and design to the next level as they provide construction drawings necessary to transform Renaissance Boulevard and Horizon Drive into dynamic “complete streets,” prioritizing safety and accessibility for all.
In addition to the existing travel lanes, the new designs will add strategically placed turn lanes, dedicated bicycle lanes and pedestrian-friendly walkways. To ensure the project’s success, a comprehensive traffic study, detailed design plans and opportunities for public input will be integral components.
This exciting new chapter marks a major advancement in creating a vibrant, multimodal transportation system within Renaissance Park, with future connections planned to extend to neighboring communities and broader regional trail networks. Stay tuned for updates and opportunities to engage in shaping the future of King of Prussia!
Note: King of Prussia District currently has two open RFP opportunities available for Recharge Park construction and Moore Road Trail design. Interested firms are encouraged to submit and contribute to the ongoing growth and innovation of King of Prussia!
