Introducing our 2026 Community Engagement Action Plan

As King of Prussia continues to grow and evolve, so must the way we engage with our community. King of Prussia District is focused on strengthening how we connect with the people who live, work, shop and do business here. The 2026 Community Engagement Action Plan outlines the strategies and priorities that will guide our efforts to increase visibility, build partnerships and elevate the vibrancy of King of Prussia.

This year’s plan builds on the foundation we laid with our 2025 Action Plan, which grew out of the KOP Community Connection Project. This year-long effort in 2024 focused on deepening our understanding of, and connection to, the community we serve. We partnered with Connect the Dots to conduct a comprehensive engagement process that included internal workshops, surveys, pop-up events, focus groups and stakeholder interviews. We intentionally sought out a wide range of voices, engaging employees, residents, consumers, property owners, prospective businesses and the Upper Merion Township Board of Supervisors to ensure we were hearing from all corners of the King of Prussia community.

What we learned continues to shape how we approach our work. We renewed our focus to provide consistent communication to better educate our audiences about the District’s role and impact. We developed strategies to advance thoughtful business development by collaborating more closely with Upper Merion Township to streamline processes, reduce barriers and attract businesses that align with our community’s vision. We reaffirmed our commitment to using data and research, not just to inform decisions, but to increase transparency and strengthen the way we tell the story of King of Prussia. And we strengthened our commitment to mobility and physical improvement projects that play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life of the audiences we serve.

Our 2026 Community Engagement Action Plan brings these insights together and aligns them across our five programs with four overarching goals:

1. Enhance visibility and recognition of King of Prussia District and our programs.
2. Deepen engagement with public, private and nonprofit partners by fostering collaboration, aligning on shared goals and supporting joint initiatives.
3. Increase community engagement by enhancing District-led events and supporting other events throughout King of Prussia to improve attendance and impact.
4. Leverage data to address community concerns by providing clear, accessible insights that inform decision-making and demonstrate the impact of District initiatives.

This plan reflects the conversations we’ve had and the relationships we continue to build. It aligns community priorities with focused, actionable steps that support economic growth and strengthen King of Prussia as a vibrant, attractive and prosperous destination.
