Christopher Basler
As Director of Capital Projects and Planning, Chris is responsible for implementing physical improvement projects and transportation initiatives while creating new placemaking programs in King of Prussia.
Employed in the community development field for over 30 years in municipalities of varying size (Murphysboro and Carbondale, IL; Cambridge, MA, and King of Prussia, PA), Chris coordinated several capital improvements and placemaking projects for local government, commercial property owners, and nonprofit organizations.
After growing up in the family feed store in Cobden, IL., Chris attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA where he received his BA along with graduate work in the School of Public Administration at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and studio programs at the Boston Architectural Center.
Chris and his wife, Tracey, spend their spare time raising horses on a small farm.
