Navigating the Future: Enhancing Wayfinding and Signage in Renaissance & Moore Parks
Every day, commuters pass through our commercial districts, often unaware of the vibrant businesses and community resources nearby. For visitors, navigating the office park landscape can be challenging, especially with unclear signage and ineffective wayfinding.
Addressing the Signage Gap
After taking stock of signage shortcomings in both Renaissance and Moore Parks, King of Prussia District and stakeholders set out to tackle this issue. King of Prussia District engaged D2 Branding to develop comprehensive wayfinding and signage master plans for both parks, that addressed strengths and critical gaps in signage across buildings, gateways and transportation networks.
Initial Implementation in Renaissance Park
The first phase of the signage plan was rolled out in Renaissance Park, which includes:
- 3 gateway signs, installed in 2022: Marking vehicle and pedestrian entrances.
- 21 directional signs, installed in early 2024: Guiding visitors to specific addresses on Renaissance Boulevard and Horizon Drive.
- 22 address signs, to be installed October 2024: Replacing outdated stone monument signs.
Moore Park Signage Master Plan
In 2017, a rebranding effort transformed the King of Prussia Business Park into Moore Park. Building on this, in September of 2024, D2 Branding developed a suite of wayfinding signs that will be implemented in 2025. The plan includes:
- 3 large monument signs: At key entrances to Moore Park.
- 12 directional signs: Identifying street names and public points of interest.
- 4 trail overview signs: Located along the First Avenue Linear Park.
- 8 mileage markers: Indicating distances along the trails.
Building owners in both Renaissance and Moore Parks can also opt to install entrance identification signs and tenant directories, enhancing cohesive branding for their properties.
