If you’re looking for authentic, El Gordo Bros Authentic Mexican Food is where it’s at! El Gordo Bros serve up breakfast, burritos, salads, fajitas, nachos, tamales, and of course, tacos! Their tacos offer every protein you could want, from fish to shrimp, chicken, ground, beef, marinated pork, steak and beef tongue. Add on some sides like black beans, guacamole, French fries and more and you’ve got yourself a meal. This hidden gem is located behind Target on 202, on Henderson Road, so take a drive and you won’t be sorry.
J Alexander’s Restaurant is known for its steaks and seafood, but did you also know they serve tacos, too? Their specials menu routinely features fish tacos or hot chicken tacos, which pairs perfectly with their their Spinach con Queso dip, a delightful mix of cheeses and spinach with pico de gallo, served with crispy tortilla chips.
While known for burgers and of course their beer menu, Yard House also does tacos very well. From the vampire taco (heavy on the carnitas, bacon and roasted garlic) to the blackened shrimp taco (shrimp along with avocado, cabbage, sriracha aïoli, salsa and cilantro), you don’t want to sleep on these. Sub in the cheese-crusted tortilla (aka vampire style) for most tacos.
Legal Sea Foods fish tacos are a perfect marriage of a love of seafood and tacos. Served with fried or blackened whitefish, pickled red cabbage, chipotle aioli and pico de gallo, you can’t go wrong. Try the Mexican street cod, too.
If you are looking for fun taco variations, look no further than bartaco. Have you ever heard of a taco stuffed with mushrooms and roasted poblano chili sauce? How about falafel tacos (herby chickpea fritters with sriracha and tzatziki sauces)? Whether you’re looking for a traditional taco or something a little more out of the ordinary (hello crispy fired oyster tacos), bartaco is ready for you. All tacos are served on your choice of a corn tortilla or a Bibb lettuce shell with cilantro.
Bonefish Grill offers their own twist on tacos. They call it to “Tacombo” – select 2 tacos, choosing from chicken, their famous Bang Bang Shrimp or blackened baja fish, pick and signature side and choose from a side salad or cup of soup.
California Tortilla allows you to custom-create your percect taco. Starting with flour or corn tortillas, then move onto your protein, choosing from chicken, blackened fish, steak, taco beef, veggies or pork carnitas. Add on your sauces, salsas and fresh toppings to complete your dream taco situation. If you don’t want to map out your taco, try one of their amazing menu options like Sunset (with grilled mesquite chicken and veggies and fiesta tomatoes), or the Honey Lime Taco with rice, honey lime sauce over grilled mesquite chicken, fiesta tomatoes, and romaine lettuce.
How about some coconut shrimp tacos or blackened mahi? Get a taste of the islands with Bahama Breeze seafood tacos. These two tacos are offered as both dinner and lunch combo options with tomato salsa and a side of guacamole.
These are just a few of the great taco dining spots in King of Prussia.
