Tommy’s Tavern + Tap has opened its doors on Mall Boulevard, and it’s serving up the kind of energy that makes any night feel like a celebration. Think coal-fired pizza bubbling in the oven, fresh sushi rolled to order and 24 beers on tap.

Taking over the former J. Alexander’s space, the new restaurant spans about 9,000 SF with room for nearly 400 guests across the dining room, bar and patio. Inside, it’s lively but comfortable — the kind of spot where families, friends and coworkers all find their place. With three kitchens running full tilt and 25 TVs scattered throughout, there’s always something sizzling, pouring or playing.
