KOP-BID’s 2nd Annual dineKOP Restaurant Week Raises $12,000 for CHOP
Proceeds to Benefit the King of Prussia Specialty Care & Surgery Center
King of Prussia, PA (April 28, 2016) – After a successful 2015 debut, King of Prussia District’s (KOP-BID) popular dineKOP restaurant week returned March 7-13, 2016 with 18 participating restaurants.
KOP-BID partnered with The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) King of Prussia Specialty Care & Surgery Center for a second year to offer diners the opportunity to dine out for a good cause. On behalf of all 2016 dineKOP participating restaurants and diners, KOP-BID presented CHOP with a check for $12,000, will all proceeds benefiting the Center. In two years, dineKOP has raised over $23,500 for the facility.
“We are truly appreciative of dineKOP’s generosity during this year’s restaurant week,” said Dann Braid, Regional Director of Specialty Care Services at CHOP’s King of Prussia Specialty Care and Surgery Center. “Not only will these funds allow us to make significant improvements to the Center, but our Ambassador Families were thrilled with the special dining experiences they were treated to during this wonderful event.”
Participating dineKOP restaurants welcomed CHOP Ambassador families to dine with them for a truly unique restaurant experience during dineKOP. From exploring the kitchen with the chef, to having a dinner menu transformed into braille, each restaurant spared no detail for the event’s most important diners during dineKOP restaurant week.
“In just two years, dineKOP has become such an important event for this community. Not only does it highlight KOP’s diverse and ever-growing dining scene, but it brings awareness and funding to an incredible organization – CHOP’s King of Prussia Specialty Care & Surgery Center,” said Eric Goldstein, King of Prussia District Executive Director. “We’re so honored to work with such giving and thoughtful restaurant partners in King of Prussia.”
