Fresh Blooms Make a Big Impact at First Avenue Linear Park

King of Prussia District brings vibrant new spring energy to Moore Park with a refresh of the First Avenue Linear Park. On each end of the park’s boardwalk, colorful new planting beds are taking root.
Last fall, All Seasons Landscaping cleared out trash, rubble and invasive plants, replacing the clutter with river rock, striking decorative boulders, flowering shrubs and trees. This spring, the transformation continues as a mix of perennials and ornamental grasses are being added to create a lively pocket meadow next to Trout Creek. The result? A vibrant, welcoming landscape that not only looks stunning, but also improves stormwater management, provides critical habitat for birds and pollinators and helps the entire ecosystem thrive.
This project is part of a long-standing commitment by King of Prussia District to enhance streetscapes and public spaces through sustainable landscaping. Since 2011, we have installed and maintained 46 green spaces across key roadways including First Avenue, Route 202, Allendale Road, Henderson Road and I-76. These landscapes not only beautify the region, they reduce noise pollution, improve air quality and absorb stormwater runoff. They also create safer, more intuitive roadways that can help slow traffic and enhance the pedestrian experience. The new planting beds along the Linear Park boardwalk build on that legacy, creating a lush and scenic environment for commuters and also pedestrians to enjoy as they travel along the multimodal trail.
