BARK U Raises Nearly $20,000 for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Facility Dog Program Through Community-Driven Fundraising Efforts
King of Prussia, PA — January 2026 — From September through December 2025, BARK U proudly raised $19,492 in support of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) Facility Dog Program, thanks to an outpouring of generosity from its clients and local business partners.
The funds were raised through a series of BARK U events and fundraisers, where BARK U’s clientele stepped up in a big way to support a cause closely aligned with the company’s mission. Several local businesses also partnered with BARK U during this time, amplifying awareness and impact for CHOP’s Facility Dog Program.
Facility dogs play a critical role at CHOP, providing comfort, emotional support, and stress relief to patients, families, and staff during some of their most challenging moments. Supporting this program reflects BARK U’s deep belief in the powerful ways dogs enrich lives, strengthen communities, and provide meaningful emotional connection.
“This cause is incredibly close to our hearts,” said Christine Egbert, CEO of BARK U. “We see every day how dogs can bring calm, confidence, and comfort—and CHOP’s Facility Dog Program is a beautiful example of that impact at its highest level. Our clients and partners truly rallied behind this effort, and we’re so proud of what we accomplished together.”
The fundraising efforts were recognized on January 15, 2026, at a special event hosted by CHOP which included a guided tour of the Middleman Family Pavilion on CHOP’s King of Prussia Campus, followed by a formal check presentation to CHOP representatives.
BARK U plans to continue supporting CHOP’s Facility Dog Program throughout 2026, with additional fundraising initiatives, partnerships, and awareness efforts already in development.
