Community-focused efforts include annual Trees of Hope Competition, Toys for Tots collection, and food drive for Upper Merion Community Cupboard

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (November 18, 2024) – Valley Forge Casino Resort (VFCR), a premier gaming and entertainment hub in the greater Philadelphia region, has announced its annual holiday giving initiatives, supporting local non-profits and community organizations. This season, VFCR will host multiple charitable events, including the popular Trees of Hope fundraiser, a Toys for Tots collection, and a food and supply drive to benefit the Upper Merion Community Cupboard. These efforts underscore VFCR’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the community by providing essential resources to those in need.

“Valley Forge Casino Resort is committed to giving back to the community we call home,” said Ron Bailey, Vice President and General Manager of Valley Forge Casino Resort. “The holidays are a perfect time to celebrate and amplify these efforts, ensuring that our local non-profits and families receive essential resources. Through Trees of Hope and our ongoing partnerships with Toys for Tots and the Upper Merion Community Cupboard, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our neighbors.”

These events come after Boyd Gaming granted VFCR $25,000 to support local charitable organizations in October of this year. VFCR proudly contributed $10,000 each to Orion Communities and Upper Merion Community Cupboard, along with $5,000 to YWCA Tri-County Area, all of whom work year-round to support members of the Montgomery County community. The 1st place winner will receive a $2,500 donation check, the 2nd place winner will receive a $1,500 donation check, and the 3rd place winner will receive a $1,000 donation check. Additionally, VFCR supplied $100 to each non-profit to buy supplies and decorations.

In addition to Trees of Hope, Valley Forge Casino Resort will serve as a host site for Central Montgomery and Chester County’s Toys for Tots initiative, where guests and team members can donate new toys for children in need. VFCR is also collecting food and essential household items for the Upper Merion Community Cupboard, including baby wipes, cereal, canned fruits, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, and paper towels. Additional items such as pasta, rice, juice boxes, and snacks are welcome, helping local families maintain nutritious and fulfilling meals during the holiday season.

Valley Forge Casino Resort is committed to making the holiday season brighter for families across the greater Philadelphia area, championing local organizations that make a lasting impact in the community.
