Each fall, the King of Prussia District (KOP-BID) presents its highly anticipated beer-centric event, KOP Beerfest Royale, to the brew-loving public of the Main Line and beyond.
The KOP Beerfest Royale has two components: the Donnerstag Happy Hour, set for Thursday, October 5, and the main event on Saturday, October 7. Both events take place under grand tents outside of the King of Prussia Mall. The event is rain or shine, so be prepared if there are cloudy skies!
“King of Prussia Beerfest Royale is in its sixth year and has become a regional favorite for beer lovers and foodies,” states Eric Goldstein, executive director of the King of Prussia District. “Beerfest Royale provides the full experience for an amazing time, with delicious food, over a hundred great beers to sample and live music, all outdoors under grand tents. This event is definitely not your typical beer festival, and I invite you to come see why!”
The Donnerstag Happy Hour is a weekday evening event from 5:30–9 p.m., where guests will enjoy unlimited 2-ounce samplings in a souvenir glass from approximately 20 breweries, cideries and distilleries (such as Austin Eastciders, Manatawny Still Works, Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company and Sly Fox Brewing Company), food offerings from two dozen local restaurants (including Cantina Laredo, Davio’s,
Mission BBQ, Paladar and The Halal Guys), live music on two stages and a complimentary cigar.
The main KOP Beerfest Royale sampling sessions will unfold on October 7 with two sipping times to choose from, including the afternoon session from noon–3:30 p.m. and the evening session from 6–9:30 p.m., where guests will sip their favorites from more than 100 craft and international beers. In addition to extensive brew options, attendees can purchase enticing dishes from local King of Prussia eateries on a pay-as-you-go basis and keep the party in full swing with live entertainment throughout the day and night.
For the main event, guests will have the opportunity to meet and sample beverage offerings from stellar standout breweries such as Boxcar Brewing Company, Cape May Brewing Company, Dogfish Head, Locust Lane Craft Brewery and so many more. For your culinary options, expect popular KOP restaurants like del Valle, Dia Doce, Kono Pizza, Shake Shack and others.
Tickets for the Donnerstag Happy Hour are $75 per person ($70 per person should you purchase a pair of tickets). If the sampling sessions on Saturday are more to your liking, tickets for the general admission entry are $50 per person, or $45 per person when you purchase a six-pack of tickets. Designated driver tickets are also available for $15 per person. The King of Prussia District will use the proceeds from the event for physical community improvement projects, such as landscaped medians, signage and linear parks.
“Tickets are selling quickly and have sold out every year, so get yours now at KOPBeerfest.com!” states Rachel Ammon, director of marketing and communications, King of Prussia District.
