Pennsylvania casino revenue soars 13% in October amid Covid-19, powered by online sports betting and gaming

Pennsylvania casino revenue increased by 13% in October compared to year-over-year numbers, fueled by record-breaking activity in the internet gaming and sports betting segments.
The Commonwealth’s 13 casinos, coupled with fantasy contests and video gaming terminals, generated more than $320.2 million in revenue last month compared to roughly $283.7 million in October 2019. The 2020 figure translates into upwards of $130.1 million in tax revenue.
Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia saw a whopping 112% spike in total year-over-year revenue, leaping from about $16.6 million in October 2019 to nearly $35.3 million last month. Rivers Casino Philadelphia posted a 29% increase with almost $39.1 million in revenue last month versus $30.2 million in October 2019.
