First Responders Appreciation Week Honors Our Community’s Heroes
King of Prussia is a compassionate community, ripe with strength, pride and support for each other. No group exemplifies these qualities as much as our first responders. This past week, along with Upper Merion Township and our sponsors, we had the privilege of honoring our community’s first responders with complimentary meals from some of King of Prussia’s finest restaurants for our first annual First Responders Appreciation Week, presented by Valley Forge Shopping Center.
The week kicked off on Monday, September 21 with a luncheon and press event. Speakers Eric Goldstein, Executive Director of King of Prussia District, William Jenaway, Chair of the Upper Merion Township Board of Supervisors, PA State Representative Tim Briggs and Chief Nolan of the Upper Merion Police Department expressed their appreciation and pride in our township’s first responders. Honorees from the We See You, KOP campaign, recognizing essential workers during the pandemic, were also invited so we could show our gratitude. The event was delectably catered by The Capital Grille, who served up salmon, filet and cheesecake.
Throughout the remainder of the week, Founding Farmers, Fogo de Chao and Eddie V’s catered a breakfast, lunch and two dinners, with fire fighters, police officers and paramedics invited to enjoy a meal on us to show our appreciation for their countless contributions to our community.
Huge thank you goes out to our generous sponsors who made this very special week possible, Valley Forge Shopping Center, Best Western Plus The Inn at King of Prussia, Brandywine Realty Trust, Police and Fire Federal Credit Union, Radial Corp, Riley Riper Hollin & Colagreco, UGI Corporation, B. Pietrini & Sons, Einstein Medical Centers Montgomery, The Discovery Labs, Tozour Energy Systems and Wegmans.
