King of Prussia District recently released its annual report of activity in what has become the region’s “second downtown” – a place of tremendous growth over the past decade.
Once primarily known as the home of the King of Prussia Mall – one of the largest shopping centers in the country and still an economic powerhouse – the unincorporated town is now a major employment center. King of Prussia has:
• 4,021 companies, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
• More than 60,000 employees.
• About 7.1 million square feet of commercial office space at 137 properties, according to CoStar.
What’s more, the number of jobs in King of Prussia has increased by 13.7 percent since 2010, outpacing much of the region.
