King of Prussia District Presents 2022 Report to the Community
On March 31, King of Prussia District officially released Accelerating Growth: 2022 Report to the Community at our first Annual Report Luncheon since 2019. The event featured a presentation by King of Prussia District President & CEO Eric Goldstein, followed by Keynote Speaker Stephen P. Mullin, Principal at Econsult Solutions, Inc. and panelists Ben Fileccia from the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association, Kathy Sweeney-Pogwist from Brandywine Realty Trust and Andrew Wheeler from Lincoln Leadership. All provided invaluable insights from their industries about moving forward and Accelerating Growth after the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s report highlights King of Prussia’s economy, which continues to show resilience in the face of the pandemic, and a development pipeline that remains strong. In 2021, we saw the delivery of several significant projects, including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Middleman Family Pavilion and The George, a multifamily housing development in The Village at Valley Forge. Throughout the township, many other developments are under construction, including Topgolf, Overlook at Town Center and Stonebrook at Upper Merion, both by Toll Brothers. A few other exciting retail, entertainment and industrial developments are in advanced stages of the approvals process. Investors continue to view KOP positively, evidenced by large recent real estate transactions and continued inquiries about available space and land.
For King of Prussia District, 2021 was equally positive. We completed Phase One of the Linear Park on First Avenue and accepted bids for Phase Two. We completely redesigned VisitKOP.com, bringing the same vibrancy and excitement of this continually evolving community into the site. We continued to advance our advocacy efforts for King of Prussia Rail, a project that saw incredible forward momentum in 2021. Finally, we were all thrilled for the return of some of our in-person events, including a record-breaking KOP Beerfest Royale in October and our long-delayed, 10th Anniversary Gala & Awards in December.
