The Bahama Breeze in King of Prussia hosted their fourth annual regional cooking competition on Tuesday night. Nine culinary professionals from nine Bahama Breeze restaurant locations in the northeast battled it out for the coveted title of Bahama Breeze’s “Top Chef.”
During the event, more than 100 guests sampled the Caribbean-inspired original dishes created by the regional finalists. The winner was chosen by a panel of local judges – including special guest Bahama Breeze executive chef Peter Olsacher.
The title went to Jose “Shorty” Gonzalez with the Bahama Breeze in King of Prussia and with his winning dish, Short Rib Mac and Cheese.
Gonzalez walked away with the Top Chef belt (pictured), and the title of Bahama Breeze’s Top Chef.
A portion of proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Make A Wish Foundation. The Bahama Breeze in King of Prussia presented representatives from Make A Wish with a check for $1,500 during the competition.
