The First Avenue Linear Park in King of Prussia will hold its official grand opening on Wednesday, May 17, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Linear Park is a collaboration between King of Prussia Business Improvement District (KOP-BID), Upper Merion Township, PennDOT and 21 private property owners to create an active and vibrant amenity open to the public. Utilizing access easements on private property, THE PARK will include amenities like a multi-use path, pedestrian lighting, seating plazas, landscaping and more.
In fall 2016, KOP-BID began construction on THE PARK’s demonstration project to showcase many of the amenities that the full park will include. Once complete in late 2018/early 2019, Phase One of THE PARK will transform currently underutilized, private lawn areas into a cohesive, continuous, active and beautiful amenity open to the public.
On May 17, the festivities begin at 11:15 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. After the ribbon cutting, experience THE PARK and everything it offers during an afternoon of live music by Swift Technique, food trucks (all items under $10) and outdoor dining. Food trucks that will be on-site for the grand opening are b.good and the Valley Forge Casino Resort’s new food truck, delVALLE.
Best of all, the party is free to attend!
The rain date for the grand opening is Thursday, May 18. THE PARK is located at 650 Park Avenue in The King of Prussia Business Park.
