Gateway Signs Light Up for a Cause

King of Prussia District installed six monument signs in 2012 and 2013 to mark important gateways to the King of Prussia community. Five of the signs run on electricity, while the sign at the Bridgeport border is powered with solar panels. Not only have attachments and plantings around these monuments changed over time, but the LED light bars on each side are programmed to change colors throughout the year. This colorful and energy efficient system gives King of Prussia District the opportunity to recognize tremendous causes and salute important groups in our community.

Some of the significant dates recognized in past years with colors are Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday (green & gold), Breast Cancer Awareness Month (pink), Chinese New Year (red), Valentine’s Day and American Heart Month (red), St. Patrick’s Day (green), Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month (blue), Purim (gold), Easter (purple), Passover (red & white), Peace Officers Memorial Day (blue), Ramadan (purple), Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur (white), National First Responders Day (red), World Cerebral Palsy Day (green), American Indian Heritage Day (full color transition), Christmas (red & green) and Hanukkah (blue & white).

The King of Prussia gateway signs are a nice reminder that you are entering a vibrant and dynamic district, and the changing sign colors honor important events and groups that help shape this community.
