KOP Restaurant Week features 44+ restaurants along with exclusive special events and 27+ retailers supporting KOP Shops for CHOP

King of Prussia, PA (February 20, 2019) – Shining a spotlight on King of Prussia’s diverse dining and world-class shopping scene while raising money for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)’s King of Prussia Specialty Care & Surgery Center, King of Prussia District is proud to present the 5th annual King of Prussia Restaurant Week, March 11-17. This milestone event offers special prix fixe lunch and dinner menus from 33 fine dining restaurants, and donation days from 11 fast casual restaurants. Running concurrently, the 2nd annual KOP Shops for CHOP features 27+ retailers hosting donation days benefitting CHOP, with special deals and “pop-up” events offered throughout the week.

“Each year, thousands of diners and shoppers flock to King of Prussia for KOP Restaurant Week and KOP Shops for CHOP to take advantage of the incredible deals and support an important institution in our region,” said Eric Goldstein, Executive Director, King of Prussia District. “We are honored to work among a generous community of restaurants, retailers and sponsors who are committed to this cause, and support our mission to make KOP more vibrant, attractive and prosperous.”

KOP Restaurant Week celebrates the area’s ever-expanding culinary scene. Internationally-acclaimed steak houses, contemporary dining restaurants and the area’s hottest sports bars join in this annual event with exclusive lunch menus priced at $10, $15 or $20 and dinner menus at $20, $30 or $40. These generous restaurants, along with retailers participating in KOP Shops for CHOP, will donate a portion of proceeds to CHOP’s King of Prussia Specialty Care & Surgery Center. Many restaurants will also host CHOP Ambassador Families during the week, giving them a special gift of reprieve.

KICK-OFF CELEBRATIONS FOR KOP RESTAURANT EVENT FOLLOW:

Chef Demonstrations:
Chef Allen Lattany of Mistral and Chef Ted Iwachiw of Davios’s Northern Italian Steakhouse will launch the week by sharing LIVE culinary art demonstrations as per request. Chef Allen is available to offer a sneak peek of his infamous Salmon Poke and Chef Iwachiw reveals his perfected hand-rolled potato gnocchi recipe.

Lunch Break for CHOP at Xfinity on Wednesday, March 13, 11 AM-1:30 PM:
Featuring delicious samples from KOP Restaurant Week participants District Taco, Founding Farmers, MidiCi, and B. GOOD and exciting Xfinity demos and giveaways. Free to attend.

Fashion Pop Up for CHOP at Mistral on Thursday, March 14, 4-6 PM:
Philadelphia Style Magazine Editor-In-Chief, Kristin Detterline, hosts a delectable fashion fundraiser with in-restaurant modeling, exclusive raffles and special retail selections from style arbiters and KOP Shops for CHOP participants Kendra Scott, Lilly Pulitzer, Paula Hian and Touché Accessories. $10 tickets, benefitting Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Healthy Running Talk & Sampling at Road Runner Sports on Friday, March 15, 6-8 PM:
Jessica Hoerr, PT, DPT, ATC, offers runners a quick guide to injury prevention through mechanical awareness along with sample tastings by KOP Restaurant Week participant Vitality Bowls. Free to attend.

Paint for CHOP on Saturday, March 16, 12-2 PM:
Private painting party at Muse Paintbar for CHOP Ambassador families.

King of Prussia District launched KOP Restaurant Week in March 2014 to spotlight King of Prussia’s world-class dining and shopping scene, while raising money for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s King of Prussia Specialty & Surgery Center. Since its inception, this annual event has raised $58,000 for CHOP KOP. The weeklong fundraiser offers: prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus from contributing restaurants; KOP Shops for CHOP, during which participating retailers donate a portion of sales to CHOP; and excusive “pop-up” events targeting niche audiences.
