North Italia sets its opening in King of Prussia

North Italia — a bright, mod Italian concept from Arizona-based James Beard nominee Sam Fox — has set an opening date of Oct. 3 at King of Prussia Mall, where it will take space on the lower level of the mall’s new corridor expansion, beneath Savor.
The restaurant, open for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunch, specializes in hand-made pasta and pizza from an exhibition kitchen overlooking the dining room. Full bar, too. It will become one of the bigger restaurants in 19406 — packing 306 seats and hiring 140-plus employees.
The King of Prussia location will be the restaurant’s first in Pennsylvania — in fact, its first east of Kansas.
Fox, who also conceived good-for-you outpost True Food Kitchen (which has a King of Prussia location), is making a splash particularly in D.C., where he is planning branches of North Italia as well as his fast-casual salad spot, Flower Child.
