PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Restaurants and hotels will be looking to fill nearly 400 positions at one of the largest job fairs of its kind in King of Prussia on Tuesday.
Organized by the King of Prussia District, a business advocacy group in western Montgomery County, the Let’s Go KOP Hospitality Hiring Fair will include more than 30 business representatives looking to hire front-of-house, back-of-house and leadership positions.
The fair will take place at the Alloy King of Prussia hotel on Dekalb Pike from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Every position that you can imagine in the restaurant or hotel business, there’s a job here for you in King of Prussia,” said Rachel Ammon, King of Prussia District marketing director.
Full-time, part-time and hourly positions are also available.
“Our restaurants are looking for dishwashers, hosts, line cooks, bartenders, servers,” she said.
Hotels are offering a variety of jobs as well, “ranging from housekeepers to guest experience specialists, front desk workers, office managers, bellmen,” Ammon said.
The King of Prussia District is putting up $20,000 in bonus money to be divided among the first 65 workers who get jobs at the event.
“We will be paying $300 bonuses, paid out in two installments — one after 30 days and one after 90 days of employment,” Ammon explained.
Advanced registration for the job fair is not required.
“We encourage you to bring copies of your resume,” she added. “If you don’t have one, that’s fine too. This is going to be a great opportunity to connect with a business and even walk away with a job and a bonus.”
