KOP Restaurant Week & KOP Shops for CHOP, March 4-15, features discounted prix-fixe lunch and dinners at fine dining restaurants, and donation days and deals from KOP’s fast casual restaurants and retailers.
King of Prussia, PA (February 15, 2024) –King of Prussia’s dining and retail community celebrate a decade of support for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) King of Prussia Campus during the 10th anniversary of KOP Restaurant Week and KOP Shops for CHOP, March 4-15, 2024. Produced by King of Prussia District and presented by 2024 lead sponsor SERVPRO of King of Prussia, through these events, diners and shoppers have raised $366,311 for CHOP’s lifesaving treatment and game-changing research since 2014.
KOP Restaurant Week features two-course lunches priced from $15-$25 and three-course dinners from $30-$50 from 24 fine dining restaurants, as well as donation days and deals from 9 quick service restaurants. Held concurrently from March 4-15, KOP Shops for CHOP features donation days and special discounts from 15 retailers.
Over the years, King of Prussia District has grown this event into a community-wide fundraiser for CHOP, extending far beyond the restaurant and retail industry. This has contributed to a steady increase in donations each year, from $11,500 in year one, to $76,187 in 2023. Additional fundraising activities planned for 2024 include:
- Facebook Raffle March 1-15: King of Prussia District will administer a fundraiser and contest to win prize packs of restaurant and retailer gift cards on KOP Restaurant Week’s Facebook page. For a donation of $10, donors receive 1 virtual entry; 3 entries for $20; and 10 entries for $50. King of Prussia District hopes to raise $3,000 through this contest.
- Upper Merion Area School District Pajama Day March 6: Students and staff across all buildings will be encouraged to wear pajamas and, if possible, donate to CHOP.
- Community Champions for CHOP: Generous businesses can pledge a donation of $300+ to CHOP through this King of Prussia District program or host fundraisers of their own.
- Block Party for CHOP: Sun., April 21, 1-4 PM (April 28 rain date): King of Prussia District will close out the campaign with a family-friendly block party in King of Prussia Town Center. Main Street will close to make way for entertainment, carnival games, fire trucks, face painting, raffles, balloon art and more. The 2023 Block Party drew a crowd of over 2,100 people.
“When we created KOP Restaurant Week ten years ago at the urging of our restaurant community, we had no idea that it would have the impact that it does today,” said Eric Goldstein, President & CEO of King of Prussia District. “We hope that in honor of our 10th anniversary, we hope to set a new fundraising record for an institution that continues to change the lives of so many in our region.”
KOP Restaurant Week and KOP Shops for CHOP are presented by SERVPRO of King of Prussia, and supported by Gold Sponsors AgileCat, Overlook at Town Center, a Toll Brothers community, Valley Forge Casino Resort and Visit Valley Forge; In-Kind Sponsors Conlin’s Print, King of Prussia Mall and King of Prussia Town Center; and Reservation Partner OpenTable.
