Tax Policy
Keeping KOP Competitive
King of Prussia enjoys Montgomery County’s lowest real estate taxes and business taxes that are competitive with its peers.
In an effort to ensure that King of Prussia has a regionally competitive tax structure that promotes and grows business, the King of Prussia District continues to examine existing tax codes of Upper Merion Township (UMT) as well as nine of the region’s largest employment centers that compete for companies and employees. King of Prussia District and its consultants use the data and research gathered to develop meaningful recommendations for the Township to consider for potential tax reforms. King of Prussia District believes that a healthy balance of taxes on businesses and residents will lead to the best opportunities for future economic development and job growth. KOP-BID continues to advocate for tax policy revisions in an effort to help stimulate the commercial office sector, grow jobs and increase the revenue base for the Township.
