EXCELLENCE IN TRANSPORTATION

The King of Prussia District (KOP-BID) plans and implements strategies that enhance vehicular, pedestrian, bicycle, and public transportation access. With initiatives that lead the way for easier highway access, new modes of public transportation, sidewalk and bike lane creation, and more, KOP-BID is dedicated to making life flow in King of Prussia.

We lead the charge in effecting game-changing transportation solutions.

First Avenue Road Diet

Major renovations are underway for First Avenue, in the King of Prussia business park, to increase vehicular safety from N. Gulph Road to Allendale Road. When the Road Diet is complete, First Avenue will be one travel lane in each direction with safe, center turn lanes, bike lanes on each side and a pedestrian crossing will be built to create a more pedestrian friendly roadway.

PA Turnpike Interchange Improvements

Long-term plans call for a new interchange at Henderson Road and Route 276, as well as significant improvements at the existing Valley Forge interchange.

KOP-BID is working with the Turnpike Commission, Montgomery County, Upper Merion Township and several stakeholders to advance this critical transportation improvement that will:

  • Improve access into the King of Prussia business park
  • Provide direct access between Route 76 and the Turnpike
