CHOP Specialty Care & Surgery Center in King of Prussia includes 68 exam rooms, more than 30 medical and surgical subspecialties, a sports medicine gym, developmental PT/OT gym, Pediatric Imaging Center, Day Hospital for oncology patients, Sleep Center, Urgent Care Center and Ambulatory Surgery Center. CHOP’s Home Care Program is also based onsite. The Ambulatory Surgery Center provides outpatient general and specialty surgical services to children of all ages. It is staffed by CHOP’s pediatric surgeons and board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists, along with a full-time staff of pediatric nurses — all with training in operating rooms or intensive care units.
In 2021, CHOP’s King of Prussia campus will be anchored by a new, 250,000 square-foot inpatient hospital. Plans include 52 inpatient beds, care for a broad range of pediatric specialties including orthopaedics, plastic surgery and ear, nose and throat (ENT), 24/7 20-bay emergency department specializing in pediatric care, an operating room suite consisting of up to four operating rooms, comprehensive radiology services and transitional care for chronic complex patients with assisted breathing.
